Tax Return Filing Steps
A Simple, Secure, and Personalized Tax Prep Process

Step 1: Initial Consultation (Free)
We begin with a short phone call or email exchange to understand your situation. This helps determine:

Step 2: Secure Document Upload
You’ll receive access to your MyTaxOffice Client Portal, a secure online portal where you can:
- 
Upload tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, prior returns, etc.)
 - 
Communicate securely
 - 
Track the progress of your return
 
Step 3: Return Preparation
We carefully review your documents, prepare your tax return, and look for opportunities to reduce your tax liability including overlooked deductions or credits.
If we spot something missing or needing clarification, we’ll reach out before moving forward.
Step 4: Review & Approval
Once your return is complete, you’ll receive:

A summary of your results
 - 
A copy of the full return
 - 
Instructions to e-sign your e-file authorization forms
 
You’ll have time to review everything and ask questions before we file.
Step 5: Payment & E-Filing
Once you’ve reviewed and approved your return, payment is due before we e-file. We offer convenient payment options to make this step easy and secure.
After payment is received and forms are signed, your return is electronically filed with the IRS and state agencies. You’ll receive confirmation once it’s accepted.
We remain available year-round for:
